Linulid Brass Earrings
Add a dash of cultural flair to your style with our Linulid Brass Earrings!
These beauties are inspired by the vibrant bluko design of the Tboli tribe and showcase the age-old art of Temwel (brass casting). These earrings are a stylish homage to the lumulid process—an essential skill in Temwel where artisans master the art of wax rolling. This is where it all begins for our brass artisans, transforming raw ideas into moldable masterpieces. Without wax rolling or lumulid, the intricate art of Temwel would not be possible.
Imagine scrapped brass magically transformed into these stunning pieces by the skilled hands of Tboli artists – it's brass alchemy at its finest, turning humble scrap into wearable treasures!
Get ready to dazzle and celebrate the artistry of the Tboli culture with every wear!
The Tboli are celebrated as visionary brass-casters, woodworkers, and “Dreamweavers”. The art of Temwel (brass-casting) is an honored tradition passed down for generations.
To craft each piece, the artisans use upcycled brass and other metal scraps from local junk shops. These are then transformed into new designs that honor Tboli tradition, folklore, and nature. Temwel involves a complex process of wax rolling, clay molding, and molten metal casting that usually takes days to complete.
Each of our pieces are handmade in small batches to showcase the highest quality Tboli craftsmanship available. Naturally, this means your jewelry will have small imperfections and a unique character to it.
